30-Day Refund Request Period
Refund requests may be submitted within 30 days of the date of payment. Requests submitted after the 30-day period will not be considered under this policy.
To submit a refund request, please contact the office by email at will@lawofficeofwilliambarth.com. Please include your name, the date of payment, the amount paid, and a brief explanation of the reason for your request. The office will review your request and respond with a determination.
Eligible Fees
Refunds apply only to eligible consultation or administrative service fees where the associated work has not been substantially completed at the time the refund request is received. Whether a refund is appropriate will be determined by the office based on the specific facts and circumstances of each request, including the nature of the services provided and the work completed prior to the request.
Non-Refundable Fees and Costs
The following fees and costs are generally not eligible for refund:
— Fees for completed attorney work, including completed legal consultations, document reviews, and drafting services.
— Filing fees, government fees, court costs, and other fees paid to third parties or governmental agencies on your behalf.
— Third-party costs, courier fees, and other out-of-pocket expenses incurred in connection with your matter.
— Fees for services that have been substantially completed or that were performed in preparation for a scheduled consultation that was not cancelled within a reasonable time before the scheduled appointment.
The specific characterization of fees and costs as refundable or non-refundable will be determined by the office at the time the refund request is reviewed.
How to Submit a Refund Request

Please include your full name, the date of payment, a description of the service for which payment was made, the amount paid, and the reason for the refund request. Requests submitted by phone or through the website contact form alone may not be processed without a confirming email.
Review and Response
The office will review each refund request individually and respond in a reasonable time. The office may request additional information to evaluate your request. The determination of whether a refund is appropriate is made at the sole discretion of the office based on the facts and circumstances presented.
Engagement Agreements
This refund policy applies to general consultation and administrative service fees. It does not alter, supersede, or modify any signed engagement agreement between you and LAW OFFICE OF WILLIAM BARTH, INC.
If there is any conflict or inconsistency between this website refund policy and the terms of a signed engagement agreement, the signed engagement agreement controls in all respects. Clients who have signed an engagement agreement should refer to that agreement for the specific terms governing fees, costs, and refunds applicable to their matter.
